Like many small business owners, Magnolia Braiding Company was started because we had no interest in working in an office with a 9-5 schedule.  We are especially fond of the lifestyle in the old days; things were simple yet elegant, and made of natural materials.  We try to reflect that in our design. 

 

We think leather ages so well with time and given care and it is a kind of natural material that soaks up graceful energy living and maturing, and gives it all out when worn. They also can be reused and recycled easily.  This goes along with our belief that things should last a really long time instead of crowding the landfill after short use. 

 

We also think there is something valuable in carrying on skills experimented and practiced by our forefathers by bare hands and without the help of modern technology.
